Global Contexts

List of Global Contexts:
1. Identities and Relationships
2. Orientation in Time/Space
3. Personal and Cultural Expression
4. Scientific and Technical Innovation
5. Globalization and sustainability
6. Fairness and development

 Orientation in Space and Time:
My scratch story is related to the global context “Orientation in Space and Time.” I chose this context because first of all as you can see by looking at the context itself it uses is the word ‘TIME’ which is exactly what my story is about ‘TIME IS PRECIOUS.’ The question here is ‘What is the ‘meaning’ of where and when? My story relates to exactly the question they are asking, let me tell you how. The part when the cat ‘PARIS’ is crossing the road is the meaning to where and the part where the man is saving Paris is the meaning of when, because Paris is crossing the road and a car is coming on full speed and Paris isn’t looking but then the man saw Paris and knew her life was at danger so as quickly as possible he ran and saved Paris took her back home safely and told her to be careful, now this is the full meaning of What is the ‘meaning’ of where and when?

My Scratch Story

 Reflection:
Initially this topic was an extremely confusing and hard. My progress through out the whole process of scratch was confusing, then understandable back to confusing, back to understandable and so on…
At the start before we started anything I thought this would be a really fun and easy project to do but as I got started and I regretted what I said MYP Design is one of my favorite lesson and this project was actually fun and new to do but it was confusing and challenging which I think is good. The first 3 mini projects we got that we had to complete on scratch was pretty easy but then putting them together into one story was difficult but I got the hang of it. I needed a lot of help understanding things and when I did I quickly did what I could so I don’t forget and don’t have to ask the teacher again for the same answer.

'HAVE A LOOK'

Overall I think I did well!!!

Criteria A Tech Faircredit.

 The Education Arcade

Crash Bandicoot, The Master Chief, and Pikachu are all names that may sound foreign to you, unless you are one of the millions of Americans who play computer and video games. A generation of game players has grown up, and games have grown up with them, pushing the boundaries of technological innovation and generating billions of dollars in credit.

Over the past two years, researchers at MIT and University of Wisconsin at Madison have been examining how games can support learning. The Education Arcade was created to explore the potential for computer and video games to engage students in subject areas as diverse as physics, environmental engineering, and Shakespeare.

This technology is very useful for education reasons.
In Supercharged, a 3-D electromagnetism simulation game, players navigate a ship through electromagnetic mazes, using their knowledge of physics to solve challenges that reinforce their understanding of magnetic fields, lines of charge, the behavior of charged particles, and other difficult concepts. Unlike traditional "school," where the motivation to learn is often to pass a test, Supercharged motivates students by using the latest gaming technology to help them achieve their goals.

when i started researching about tech fair project the results were mostly science projects, so i had to be very specific with my words and phrases, when i started researching more i got results that i was expecting to get. after some research i found this really good topic which is very helpful for kids and teen in their daily life activities, because it was educational and i went to the website and briefly read through and i thought it was  a very good idea so i researched a lot about it as you can see above!
